Ashley McClary is a birth mother, survivor, and conqueror. She carried 17 years of silence — gave birth, placed her child for adoption, and started in a championship basketball game three days later. Because that is what More Than Conquerors do.
Then the phone rang. Her adopted child called — and spoke life back into the woman who gave him life. That phone call became the heartbeat of Ashley Adoption Project. Because every foster youth aging out has no one making that call. Ashley Adoption Project IS that call.

Ashley Adoption Project is built to be that call. That door. That village — for every foster youth ages 18–26 and every birth mother who has ever felt invisible.

The open door didn't start with Ashley. It started generations before her — in music, in faith, and in a grandmother's prophet hands.
Thomas McClary is the Founder of The Commodores — who integrated Florida schools through music, opened the door for Bob Marley at Madison Square Garden in 1980 before a Black American audience for the first time, and raised a daughter who understood what it means to never be a dream killer. Every door Ashley opens is one her father modeled first.

Born in 1914 in South Carolina, Thomecenia McClary was a prophet — a woman who walked in divine authority and passed a legacy of faith, resilience, and sacred purpose into her granddaughter's bones. Ashley is not just the Founder of Ashley Adoption Project. She is Thomecenia's granddaughter. She wears that identity like a crown. 🌸
